If you would like to reserve an available puppy, we require a non-refundable deposit of $300 USD that goes towards the full adoption fee of your puppy. The remainder will be payed at time of adoption/receipt of puppy.
We at Highaltidoodles believe that, next to optimum health, socialization is the most important skill for a dog to have that will help ensure a long, happy life with their human companions. That is why we strive to expose them (when age appropriate) to all kinds of sounds, smells, textures to walk on, children, other dogs, and other types of animals. For the best socialization of your puppy, they should remain with their mother for at least 8 weeks.
Some people insist 12 weeks is the best time for Puppies to separate from their litter and begin to attach to their new family. Please do your research to decide what you think is best, but we will not release any puppy before 8 weeks of age. Puppies who remain with the mother longer have an increased chance of being better socialized. We offer to keep your puppy longer for only $25 USD a week extra. At 12 weeks, they have received advanced discipline from their mom, have learned boundaries, and are more trainable. They are more confident and secure and they are ready to go out into the world and establish their own relationships with their new "pack", the adoptive families.
